Monthly Liesbeek River Cleaning Day, Saturday 1st of July 2017
When: Saturday, 1 July, 8:30am to 3:30pm (First Saturday of every month)
Where: Meet in the parking lot in front of The Wild Fig.
What: We will be cleaning the stretch running from the N2 to the River Club.
Who: Kari Cousins will be supervising & sponsoring the clean.
Drop in any time for an hour or two to help us clean, but do remember to bring gloves and boots that are up to the challenge! It's a large space, if you don't see us right away; rest assured, we're somewhere along the banks getting dirty.
If you can't spare the time yourself this Saturday, consider sponsoring someone to clean on your behalf. For R180 you can co-sponsor a clean, effectively paying someone else to do your dirty work at our next clean.
If you have any questions on the day, feel free to contact, Kari Cousins on 078 008 0464

The purpose of the meeting is to get feedback and new ideas for the different aspects of the business plan (security, cleansing, etc.). The idea is not to make decisions at the meeting, but to identify possible changes that can be investigated further.
The Two Rivers Urban Park is an area of natural green space right in the middle of Cape Town, at the confluence of the Liesbeek and Black Rivers in Observatory.
The area is presently earmarked for commercial, retail and business development.
