Who is part of the TRUP Association?

A diverse range of stakeholders and individuals make up the TRUP Association. The constituencies that we currently represent are:

o             John Holmes (Business: tourism and hospitality, Oude Molen Eco-Village)

o             Ed Tilanus (Business: Envirocentre)

o             Marc Turok (Civic Association: Observatory Civic Association)

o             Tauriq Jenkins (Vice Chairman of the Observatory Civic Association)

o             Louise Badenhorst (Institution: Southern African Astronomical Observatory)

As an association of constituent associations, the TRUP Association Constitution requires that the Executive Committee (“ExCo”) of the TRUP Association must comprise representatives from the following constituencies:

  • The Local Authority;
  • The Ward Councillors and councillors from abutting wards;
  • Land Owners within the Park;
  • Environmental NGO’s;
  • Social Development CBO’s; and
  • Any other organisations or persons agreed to by the ExCo.

Anyone sharing the common goal of upholding and implementing the Two Rivers Urban park contextual framework and Phase 1 environmental management plan is welcome to be part of the TRUP family.
